Teachers' Tips:

Let's introduce The Food Song now. Sections 8 - 13 deal entirely with food. Textbook 2 contains a large Food Picture Dictionary and several pages of Flash Cards about food. Children love to talk about food and it's always a fun conversation topic for almost anyone.

The basic conversation model that The Food Song teaches is "Do you like...?" "Yes, I like..." and "No, I don't like..." This line of questioning can be used for just about anything and is a great way to get to know people.

The 5 Components

1. Song – Play The Food Song video.

2. Interactive Video / Audio File – The upcoming Sections 8 - 13 deal entirely with food. It is broken up into food groups and there is a Video / Audio file for each. For now, simply play The Food Song and make sure the students understand the concepts "Yes, I like..." and "No, I don't like..."

3. Textbook Activities – Play the Audio File of this song and have students point at the pictures and sing along with it. When they can sing the song very well play Track 6 on the CD in Textbook 2. There are no vocals on that track so students will have do all the singing themselves. Try dividing the class into two groups with one group singing the first part and the other singing the "echo" and then switch!

4. Classroom Activities – Write the words on the board and have students copy them into their notebook.

Use your imagination to come up with fun ways to help students learn the words to this song.

5. Work Sheets – There are no Work Sheets for this section. Sections 8 - 13 contain plenty of Work Sheets for students to practice the food names and the phrases "Yes, I like..." and "No, I don't like..."

이제 The Food Song을 소개하도록 합니다. 섹션8에서 섹션13까지는 모두 음식에 관해 다루고 있습니다. 교재 2권에는 많은 양의Food Picture Dictionary와 음식에 관한 몇장의 플래시 카드 페이지를 포함하고 있습니다. 어린들은 음식에 관해 얘기 하는것을 좋아하고 이것은 누구에게나 항상 재미있는 대화의 주제일 것입니다.

The Food Song을 지도하는데 "Do you like...?" "Yes, I like..." and "No, I don't like..."은 가장 기본적인 대화 모델이 될것입니다. 이 질문들을 얘기하므로써 사람들을 알아가는데 가장 좋은 방법이 되겠습니다.

5단계 학습 구성

1. 노래 - The Food Song 비디오를 재생합니다.

2. 비디오 / 오디오 상호 학습 – 앞으로 나올 섹션8부터 섹션13까지는 모두 음식에 관한 내용을 다루고 있습니다. 음식의 종류에 따라 다시 구분되어 있으며 모두 각각 비디오/오디오 파일이 있습니다. The Food Song을 재생하여 학생들이 "Yes, I like..." 와 "No, I don't like..."  에 관한 개념을 올바로 이해하도록 합니다.

3. 교재 활동 –음악 오디오 파일을 재생하여 학생들이 그림을 가리키며 따라 부르도록 합니다. 학생들이 노래에 익숙해지면 교재2권 부록 CD의 6번 트랙을 재생하여 줍니다. 이 음악에는 목소리가 녹음되어있지 않아 학생들이 스스로 노래를 부를 수 있습니다. 반을 두 개의 그룹으로 나눠 한 그룹은 첫 소절을 나머지 한 그룹은 에코 파트를 부르도록 하며 바꿔서도 시행합니다.

4. 교실 활동 – 칠판에 단어들을 적어 학생들이 노트에 따라서 쓰도록 합니다.

선생님은 학생들이 이 노래에 나오는 단어들을 익힐수 있게 흥미로운 여러 방법을 응용해서 시행해봅니다.

5. 워크북 학습 – 이번 섹션에는 워크북 학습이 없습니다. 하지만 섹션 8부터 센션13까지는음식이름과 "Yes, I like..." 와 "No, I don't like..."와 같은 연습해야 할 표현에 관한 연습문제가 많이 수록되어 있습니다.
