Teachers’ Tips:

The 5 Components

1. Song - Continue playing The House Song.

2. Interactive Video / Audio File - By now students should begin to grasp the rhythm of the Video / Audio File and should understand the concept of "Where" something is and how to explain “where” something is in a sentence. Continue to use the Interactive Video / Audio Files in any way that you can to make it challenging for students.

3. Textbook Activities - Like the other activities, hold up the book for the class and ask them "What's this?" and "Where is the...?" for all of the objects in the picture. Interview students individually and have them practice with each other.

There are boxes at the bottom of this page as well for students to draw in objects that are not in this picture.

4. Classroom Activities - You can begin to make a series of “Things in the Home” Flash Cards. You can play a game with them. Have students pick up a card and tell you what the object is and where it belongs. If they speak perfectly they can keep the card. The student with the most cards wins!

Have them draw a picture of their own bathroom. They can tell you what the things in their bathroom are.

5. Work Sheets - Have students color in the bathroom picture on Workbook 1-2 Page 33. Once again they can stand up and tell the class about it. For example "The towel is blue", "The toilet is blue and white" etc.

There is a Bingo Game for them to play at the end. Have students take turns being the caller. Don't just let them say the name of the objects when they call them out - have them say in a full sentence "The toilet is in the bathroom" etc.

5단계 학습 구성

1. 노래 - 계속해서The House Song을 들려줍니다.

2. 비디오 / 오디오 상호 학습 - 이제 학생들은 비디오 파일의 리듬을 이해하기 시작하고 어떤 물건이 "어느 방"에 위치해 있는지를 이해할수 있을 것입니다. 그 문장들을 어떻게 말해야하는지도 말입니다. 계속해서 비디오 파일을 들려주시고 학생들이 문장을 보지 않고도 스스로 얘기할수 있도록 지도해줍니다.

3. 교재 활동 - 그림안의 모든 물건들을 가르키며"What's this?" and "Where is the...?"라고 질문을하고 개인별로 그리고 짝과 같이 연습하게합니다.

페이지 아랫쪽에 있는 빈 네모칸에 책에 나와있지 않은 다른 물건들을 그리고 이름을 적게합니다.

4. 교실 활동 - “Things in the Home”의 시리즈 플래시 카드를 만드는걸 시작할수 있고 그 카드를 이용해 학생들과 게임을 할수도 있습니다. 학생들이 카드를 하나씩 들고 그 물건이 어떤것이고 어느방에 있는것인지 말하게 합니다. 만일 학생들이 완벽하게 카드에 관한 문장을 얘기할수 있다면 그 카드를 학생에게 주시고 가장 많은 카드를 갖게되는 사람이 이기는 게임을 할수 있습니다.

학생들이 자신들 집의 욕실을 노트에 그리고 선생님께 어떤 물건들이 각자의 욕실안에 있는지 얘기하게 합니다.

5. 워크북 학습 - 워크북 1-2의 33페이지에 색칠을 한 뒤 "The towel is blue", "The toilet is blue and white"처럼 얘기해 보도록 합니다.

마지막 장에 빙고 게임이 있습니다. 한명씩 호명해 학생들이 단순히 사물의 이름만 말하지 않고 "The toilet is in the bathroom"처럼 완전한 문장표현을 얘기하게 합니다.
